Do I need Plex Pass if I have Apple TV

I assume the Apple TV + 4K I have means I don’t need Plex to transcode as the Apple takes any format ? There are other advantages with the Plex Pass but I only watch my media at home through my Apple TV 4K to my new Sony 4K OLED TV
Am I correct please ?

You don’t need a Plex Pass if you only plan to use it at home.

Only Hardware Transcoding requires a Plex Pass. Software transcoding is free, so your Plex server can still transcode.

I also assume the Plex won’t need to transcode anyway as the device it’s streaming to, Apple TV + 4K can handle any format anyway ? So Plex will just send the media in its native format
