Do I need to add a Plex Pass user for PMS running on my TS-453A?

Hi,

It seems that Plex on my Apple TV 4 is trying to log into my 453A using my Plex Pass userid and password. Do I need to establish a user with a name/password of my Plex Pass? I didn’t need to do this the last time I used Plex on the Apple TV, about 6 months ago.

As a ref. to forums.plex.tv/discussion/273639 it looks like your QNAP is either signed into a different account that your Apple TV, or it’s out of sync with plex.tv.

If the later one, in your PMS, sign out, wait 2 min, and then sign back in again

I have the same issue. My Qnap have no access to internet and I can’t connect it (remote mobile location and no ethernet router). So is it impossible to sync PMS with ATV without internet in the former? PC’s are working OK but they have access to internet via WiFi router.
So I have to connect Qnap to internet, logout PMS, login PMS again and that’s all?

The PMS server machine *must have internet access and be always on.
This is how PMS works. Plex Pass privileges are authenticated on-demand through plex.tv
