I did a search for this request and can’t find one, so posting this.
Basically, if I have taken the time to rip my DVD/Blu-ray with the trailers for the film, I would like Plex to NOT pull a copy of a trailer from its online sources. I know that I can turn off both trailers and extras, but there are movies I don’t have local content for.
I have a good number of movies that show both my local trailer, and a trailer that Plex has found for me. Often times, I will watch both trailers (as there are typically multiple trailers for a movie), and it turns out that they are the same trailer. I’ve had similar issues with other extras.
So the feature request is: If local trailers or extras exist, do not locate and stream online versions.
