Do we know when users can run the Plex app without an Xbox Live connection? While this normally wouldn't be needed, it would be good to option to have seeing that our internet providers do go out from time to time.
There has been no word from Plex whether this will ever change or not. They do not release timelines on features.
Hopefully they will come out with a work around for those that this is an inconvenience for. Personally I just go read for a bit or do something else, yeah it's a bummer, but it's not a big problem in my case.

Personal guess: I think it is likely to happen this year. I have no insider info on this. It is just a feeling I have, as I assume there are a lot of people on the PS4 and XB1 that is interested in a one time fee, but a little scared about the monthly fee of Plexpass. So that is why I truly believe that they want to release this as soon as the app is out of beta.
