Does anyone have a Rasplex image that works with NOOBS?

I want to setup a dualboot system, but because of incompatibility with my WiFi dongle in the latest version of BerryBoot it is not currently an option. For my own convenience and the convenience of the others who will be using this system I would like to stick to using only one SD card.

Now I know it is possible to do with NOOBS, and I’ve heard at least one guy on these forums a while back saying he managed it. I tried to create the tarballs myself, but it failed miserable, seeing as I’m very much a noob at this. I guess what I want to ask is is there anybody who knows of a set of instructions or already has the os/ folder for rasplex working that could assist me with this?

NOOBS is Berryboot, see this https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/introducing-noobs/ so you’ll have the same issue.

Well that is unfortunate. So until Berryboot is updated I’m stuck using two SD cards then?

Afraid so, in addition to the WiFi issues withe the current Berryboot there are also reported issues with stuttering of media playback using 0.7.0, also down to firmware issues. You could install an older version of Rasplex, say 6.0, until Berryboot catches up.

Any update? I am still stucked with either noods or berryboot.
Anyone can help?

What update were you expecting?

Regards

Rasplex is a disk image that contains an operating systeme (OpenElec) and a specially compiled version of Plex Home Theater.

Noobs is a disk image that contains several operating systems.

Asking for a Rasplex that runs on Noobs is like asking for a Windows that works on Linux. It makes no sense. Il you want Plex on Noobs, you need to install a version of PMS especially compiled for the purpose. That would be beyond the scope of Rasplex.

I don’t see how you are “stuck” with anything. You can just make an SD card with Rasplex and another with Noobs and swap them around.

Noobs is Berryboot, just follow one of the many instructions in this forum to install Rasplex.
