I went through all this effort, but after connecting the server easily to the homerun, it does not show up via the plex app on the firetv for my network. Are there set top boxes in particular? I wasnt sure if android tv included fire tvs, rokus as I had never heard of it.

I didn’t the fine print before I got everything setup unfortunately.
Try loading the HDHomeRun app on your FireTV. It allows you to watch the live channels your HDHomeRun gets through the antenna. It ‘worked’ with my FireStick over WiFi, but it was choppy. I think a wired FireTV box would work better.
