Does Plex Server have an auto-sleep function on Synology NAS? I want this feature because I use Plex on my Synology only for me, I’m the only user and it’s only on a local network. I would like my Synology NAS hard drives to sleep automatically but since Plex is constantly making requests (ex: [NSB/SSDP] Parsing SSDP schema for http://192.168.1.1:49152/rootDesc.xml), my hard drives are spinning all the time even when there is no use of Plex. So I have to manually stop Plex in DSM’s package center or else create a scheduled task to start and stop Plex application, which is inconvenient. What I would like is for it to work like Kodi for example, that is to say that when I launch a film from my television, the hard disks of the NAS come out of standby (which actually takes a few seconds) and remain in activity during the viewing of the film only. After 10 minutes of inactivity (or time to set in the NAS standby settings), my hard drives go to sleep. With Plex, which works with a server application (unlike Kodi or my TV player), I couldn’t find a sleep management setting.
If anyone has an idea how to do this, I’m all ears! ![]()
Thank you all,
