Does pms for linux systemd support sd_notify protocol?

Server Version#: 1.18.1-1973
Player Version#: n/a
Host: KVM (proxmox 6)/ Centos 7 LXC

I use yum-cron on a single purpose LXC to keep my pms upgraded to the most current version. However it always fails to restart after a new version is install, requiring a manual login and systemctl start plexmediaserver. The unit file for systemd show Restart=on-failure I’m wondering if pms was coded with sd_notify protocol built in and if I can use watchdogd to restart the server when it isn’t running.

I tried that and it didn’t provide any benefit.

I am working on an entirely new startup control. The new startup will, like the new packaging, be OS-agnostic.

There will be the basic hook into systemd / sysv-init but beyond that, I will be in control.

OK, I’ve been following that thread. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the reply.
