I can queue items in OPHT, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to play the queued items. I know this functionality was broken/removed in PHT, but thought it was reintroduced in OPHT. Am I wrong?
Is it still only possible to see the queue when you’re already playing something?
I am able to play ‘Watch Later’ and ‘PlayLists’ queues just fine. Can you be more specific about what’s happening when you try?
Sure, no problem! I think I confused the issue by including ‘recommendations’.
If I press ‘Q’ on the keyboard when on a video or, bring up the options menu by holding Menu on an Apple remote and click ‘Queue’ then the message box appears in the bottom right stating “the item was added to the current queue.”
Subsequent option menus will now say ‘add to up next’ instead of ‘queue’.
Just like PHT however, it seems there’s no way to start this queue. If I click play on a video it says “This will clear the contents of up next and play the selection instead”.
Also, just like PHT, it only seems to work if: I start a video and then use the remote to get back to the menus and then queue items. I see the now playing art cover in the bottom left and I can successfully add more items to up next and then return to the video I was playing and the queued items will follow.
