When trying to shuffle media on OpenPHT or PHT I get the message “The server was unable to create the Play Queue”. Shuffling works fine on the web client and ios, just not home theater. Any advice would be appreciated.
Until there’s a fix the “the server was unable to create the play queue” error, there is a work around to shuffle media. All you have to do is use the IOS plex app as a remote control by pairing with Open PHT, then shuffle media using it. I haven’t tested the Android Plex app but I’m sure it works too. I hope this helps.
Thanks, I’ll give it a try.
I too am getting this issue on PHT. It seems like (having done research on the web) it has been around quite some time, over a year or more. I’m running PHT directly on the same machine that hosts the server, so there’s no communication issue involved.
At what point do paying customers get official support for bugs? Do I need to submit the bug somewhere else for it to be noticed and escalated? Should I cancel my subscription and note -why- when doing so, so that it might get noticed there? How hard could it possibly be to randomize content in a category and play it as a custom temporary playlist?
I, too, am having that issue. But to a less serious extend:
I’m using OpenPHT in offline mode (LAN only) and don’t log in anywhere.
If I play movies on multiple computers at the same time I get that error message after stopping playback on most of them.
It seems as if PHT doesn’t like multiple playback streams at the same time with no login user information? I guess it’s got something to do with trying to save current progress for that account which doesn’t work because nothing is signed in.
