Does the 100% CPU scanning issue ever resolve with time?

You know the drill. You try to create a new library and suddenly the CPU usage hits 100%, the server becomes inaccessible, and you are dead in the water while the server does who know what.
My question is this. Is it dead at that point or has anyone just let it go forever? At some point in the future will it finish and come back to life or am I in the stop process, uninstall, rollback, delete library, upgrade try again mode?

that depends entirely upon what is causing the 100% cpu and whether or not plex is processing or hung.

you do not provide sufficient info for anyone to provide any other info.

one thing you can do is, you can monitor the plex log file and see if it stops or continues to update.
