Joined, even paid up (dummy), and have yet to get Plex to run on two entirely different machines. No errors, no nothing. Just re-installed the Dec. 6 distro on this machine and…still nothing.
Certainly not impressed yet, and particularly not after I found there was not even email, much less phone support.

“Doesn’t run” is not a very precise description.
Maybe describe what you see and what you don’t see.
If you are using Windows: don’t use Microsoft Edge as your web browser.
It doesn’t work for Plex.
Install either Chrome or Firefox, then surf to http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
When nothing happens, the best and most precise description is “doesn’t run.” And yes, like most, I use Edge and would not have suspected either that Plex is not an executable nor that it would not run on a normal browser.
However, will try one of the others (I have both installed for occasional use) and appreciate the response.

No change on Chrome. No errors, no nothing.

Plex is an executable. How do you assume it is not?
Take a look into your task tray. Do you see something like this, with the Plex chevron on it?

I can even see in your account that the Plex server software is actually running on both computers where you installed it.
What happens when you call up http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in Chrome on the same computer where you installed Plex Server?
Fascinating. Came right up with the link. Rather clunky way to have to start it, but will check it out.
Thanks for the assist.

Plex is a ‘server’. It is designed to run even without a browser window open on the same computer.
It can also serve media to other devices.

@OttoKerner Is correct. In fact my primary server runs on a near totally headless Windows computer. (I can connect a monitor. keyboard and mouse to it if needed but I almost never need it) Most of the time I just use a browser on another computer to maintain and setup the Plex server.
Plex is a server that really “should” run on a computer with very little other duties.
Once Plex starts correctly on the server computer you do everything from a browser. You adjust settings, add libraries, maintain libraries and generally customize Plex in any way you wish. Everything is done through a browser. You access your server from any computer using: "YourServerIP:32400/web/ or (after logging the server onto your Plex account) “app.plex.tv/web/app”.
You can access Plex from the server itself using http://127.0.0.1:32400/web or more generally http://localhost:32400/web
Remember Plex is a client/server system and both sides are required for there to be any meaningful functionality.
I highly recommend you read the Plex FAQ pages, as it appears you don’t have a working knowledge of how the Plex Server operates.
Granted, I do not. And it is not intuitive. Will consider just how many hours I want to spend simply to use a TV system.
