Every time I launch Plex. it’s looking for my server. I download the software. I click on repair, should I be uninstalling the previous download? I would become a subscriber but this issue will prevent that from ever happening. I’m using windows 10.
What happens when you point a browser at your Plex Media Server installation? http://ip_of_plex_server:32400/
What happens when you go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop and login? Do you see your server listed?
Don’t use the default web browser Microsoft Edge. It doesn’t work with Plex.
Download Chrome or Firefox.
Then make sure, the Plex icon is showing in the task tray:
Open the newly installed web browser and open this URL
http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
