I previously posted this in the Apple TV forum but a couple releases ago, the Apple TV plex app stopped automatically selecting the Dolby Digital track in MP4s that have an AAC and an AC3 track. It never had any issue doing this up until a release in July. One day it worked, upgraded, and then it stopped. I can manually select the Dolby Digital track but that is a pain. If I turn off Direct Play, then it works fine. These files play just fine on the Apple TV (with Dolby Digital being automatically selected) outside of Plex. If this could be fixed to how it was a month or so ago, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Still not corrected in the latest beta 1.3 (2919).
We think we have a fix for this, it won’t be in the next upcoming build (we need to test it internally first), but probably in the next one. So hopefully, 1.3 will have this problem fixed

We just deployed a new beta that should fix the issue. Please, let us know if that’s not the case
Latest beta has resolved the issue here. Will report in should any files still not default to 5.1. Thanks for the fix, much appreciated :).
Hooray! Thank you very much. I can confirm that my issues are resolved as well. So far all the files I’ve tried have automatically defaulted to the 5.1 track as they did before. Thanks for the fix!
