Works great Only PGS Subtitel dosnt work with .ts Files. What we need is this:
Easy way
Goddamn this is AWESOME! Made an unprotected ISO of Joker (youāll see why in a sec). Created the MKV with MakeMKV. Opened TSMuxer and dropped the MKV onto it. Opened the mounted ISOās 800.mpls and added the audio track. Spit out a TS file, dropped it on my NAS. Plex picked it up and is now playing in Dolby Vision with ATMOS. Super brilliant and thanks to all who have been fighting this good fight!!
Trying to recreate your success making a Plex playable Dolby Atmos and vision video file. What software did you use to make the initial ISO file? Is it a blu-ray ISO? Just need some more info before I can attempt it with my media file(s). Iām rather new at this encoding bit.
For reference, Iāve got what is already labeled as a 2160p 10-bit HDR TrueHD7.1 Atmos movie. When I play it with Plex via Shield using a Sony Atmos receiver and setup it still only shows as TrueHD on the receiver display. When I open it up with MKV tools the audio track does show as 7.1 and is labeled as āAtmosā. For some reason it isnāt passing through.
Now you need the UHD disc or an ISO, choose the right track, your desired audio tracks and subtitles and let it go. Put this created MKV in your Plex library and play it. Everything works for me, DoVi, Atmos, DTS:X, Subtitles, Chapters, Framerate Switching.
The only thing that some donāt work is when the PGS subtitles have already been pre-selected. You should only select this when the film has started. After that, however, it also works if you continue to watch the film the next day. If the film does not start, the subtitle must be deactivated and then reactivated.
I canāt say why Atmos isnāt working for you. I am not familiar with Sony receivers. Everything is configured correctly and other sources such as Netflix and Co are displaying Atmos correctly?
