Accidentally enabled localized titles and refreshed meta data. I had an issue with the actor display pics so I was trying to get those visible, which they now are… Problem is it’s now retagged a ton of titles from…
“Backdraft”
to
“Backdraft.1991.REMASTERED.1080p.BluRay.H264.AAC”
is there any way to reverse this without having to manually retag??
That’s not a localized title.
What you are seeing is most likely the content of the “title” meta tag of your files.
If you are still using the old metadata agent, go to
Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under
Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
If you already converted the library or have created it fresh within the last 2 years, do this instead:
Edit your movie library,
go to the “Advanced” tab
clear the checkbox “Prefer local metadata”
