Double-NAT issue, but I CANNOT use Bridge Mode

Hi, First time poster, forgive me if I’m doing this wrong!

I know that there are quite a few double-NAT posts out there, but I haven’t seen a solution for my particular problem. If its out there, just let me know!

So after moving to a new home and switching ISPs, we’re now unable to access the Plex server remotely. The new ISP provided us with a modem/router combo (Virgin Mobile, VALERIE modem), which we have hooked up to Google Wifi (2 mesh points). This has caused the double-NAT issue. As I understand it, I need to turn on bridge mode in order to fix this problem. Well, after trying to find it in the modem settings, I called up my ISP and they told me that there is no way for me to do this with their modems. No bridge mode. No alternative modems. No other solutions.

What is my next step? (besides going with a different ISP) Is there a work-around? Any way for me to enable remote access without bridge mode?
Please keep in mind that I’m pretty new to plex and I mostly have no idea what you smart people are talking about when I read these forum discussions! Not very Networking-savvy, but I’m trying to learn!

Thanks!

the google wifi can work in bridge mode also - can you not do that? It will change them into being just wifi access points.

otherwise you just need to do a double port forward and create a dummy network between the VM router and your google wifi.

the port forward on your VM router would point your WANIP:32400 to the IP address on your WAN interface of your Google Wifi port 32400, then the power forward on your google Wifi points it’s WANIP at your plex server IP:32400.

w.g.

VM Router : WANIP:32400 to 192.168.100.1:32400
Google Wifi 192.168.100.1:192.168.1.10:32400

where 192.168.100.1 is the WANIP set on your google wifi and 192.168.1.10 is the IP of your plex server both of these addresses should be fixed IP addresses.
