Double Postings

At the risk of asking a truly stupid question… did I somewhere miss the heads up when the double-post policy took effect? Is this a bug in the forum or do more and more people feel an urge to double-post their exact same questions.
I could understand if users might not be 100% clear if their problem is related to a client or the server and hence post in each respective sub-forum. However it appears most of those double-posts are in the exact same sub-forums…

Or am I only noticing this now and it’s never been different?

Double posts (two identical posts) happen if the forum is slow and the poster doesn’t wait for the forum to catch up / is too impatient.

It is policy to silently remove the accidental double post.

If you are seeing double posts, please let me know which ones and I will address it

thx… just got curious as it felt this is increasing

currently there’s various, e.g. …

  • Seedbox VPS Australia – post 1, post 2
  • Local Server not Accessible – post 1 (with comments), post 2 (no comments)
  • Why is it showing as “Converting”? Shouldn’t it be Direct Playing? – post 1 (without comments), post 2 (with comments)
  • Plex Server Keeps Crashing – post 1 (with comments), post 2 (closed), post 3 (closed), post 4 (closed) – seems like this one has already been taken care of
  • List view on Plex player for Nvidia Shield TV – post 1 (with comments), post 2 (without comments)
