Download Artist Radio - 0 items?

Trying to download Artist Radio for various durations. I am getting “0 items” after I create it. Have tried various durations and various artists. Is it broken in the latest release?

Oh - maybe it’s a iOS 15 Beta related issue?

Ok - Artist Shuffle works, but Artist Radio does not. Here’s the log:

It looks like the issue is related to this: “Error computing artist station key.”

That means it got an error back from the server, or an empty list of stations. Does it work to play artist radio from the artist?

Yeah, everything else seems to work perfectly.

Can you play artist radio for Aldous Harding (love her, by the way) and then try to download it, and then ship over the server logs + plexamp logs?

i see a creation of an artist shuffle which succeeds, and a failure to create artist radio (two different things). I would guess Aldus Harding doesn’t have the radio icon on the artist page.

Huh. Many artists just don’t work, but some do. I tried to create one with “Matt Berninger” - no dice. But then I tried to do one with “Aurora” and it worked no problem. I guess that some are just not found?

they need similar artist metadata. might need a refresh if you were running an older server which deleted that data.

Sorry, how do you refresh? I deleted the caches…

Server side; refresh metadata in the web app (Refresh Metadata option or Refresh All Metadata off the library context menu). First verify that you are indeed not seeing similar artists for the ones without radio.
