I purchased a lifetime Plex Pass, but when I try to download a video to my iPhone, I get the error message: “Please ask the server owner to allow sync for your accounts.” Please tell me what Setting I need to update to allow downloading of media to my tablets/iPhones. Thanks.
Are you trying to sync from your own server or from someone else’s server?
My own server on my own home network.
Did you restart your Plex Server after your Plex Pass was activated?
Is the Plex App on your iPhone signed in to the same Plex.tv account like your server?
My iPhone does show I am signed in correctly and under Account it shows “Subscription: Lifetime Plex Pass”. So I think that is good.
As for the server, I did restart the application on my MacBook, but is there a different way to restart the “server”? Thanks for the help.

Did you activate the Guest account on your Plex Home?
