Download of subtitles

Why do not you implement a tool for download and manage subtitles as exists in Infuse Pro?

Plex has a bit different approach to subtitles. Believe me a user coming from XBMC (where I could just pause video and download missing subs) it was very hard for me at the beginning to get the right subs.
AFAIR developers said that somewhere down the line they will take another look into subtitles but for now all you need is this addon  : https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/186575/release-sub-zero-1-3-33-522-subtitles-done-right#latest

Thanks!!!

I’ve found that automatic downloads of subtitles don’t usually work too well all the time. I find it easier to just go to Subscene and test different subtitles, making sure I get a good match. It’s always been really easy to find good subtitles like that for me. I think it is worth trying something like the Sub-Zero plugin though. I don’t think I’ve tried that one yet. It looks like it uses different methods for trying to match subtitles, so it might just work well.

@JordanHarris try SubZero, it works really good. I use it to download two languages.

@"Bartlomiej Baraniec I will! Is it smart enough to download forced subtitles when available too, or just download forced subtitles? That could really benefit me because I don’t always know if a video needs forced subtitles until I actually watch it or if I notice the forced subtitles when ripping the video.

Also, does it download subtitles in the same directory as the video file? If you already have subtitles for a video, can it skip that video?
