Trying to figure out if this is even possible, but it’s looking like it’s not.
I have multiple versions of a movie or TV show, though sometimes I only have one. Everything has a NTSC-like version, they might also have a 1080p version and if so, they might also have a 4K version.
I’m downloading to an iPad Pro, but space is a concern, so I want the NTSC-like version, which sometimes happens without transcode when I have the Downloads preferences set to 480p, but other times it starts to transcode. I want to avoid this transcode (I already did the work!) but I can’t figure out how to do that with the given options.
I don’t care about bitrate, and I know the iPad can play it (tested with Apple’s TV app), I just want the “small” version of the file.
Is there a way to do this?
Barring that, is there a way for me to just copy the SD versions of the files to the iPad and play them with Plex, or should I just give up and use Apple’s TV app for managing all local content?
Thanks!
