I have the open subtitles agent enabled because I sometimes get movies that don’t include any subs. But it’s becoming more trouble than it’s worth when it downloads subtitles for movies that already have their own. As an example, I ripped a foreign title myself and carefully adjusted the subtitles and embedded them in the MKV, but Plex insists on downloading a sub file with the wrong timecodes and setting it as the default rather than using the embedded one.
I’ve used webtools to delete the external sub file, but Plex just redownloads it and sets it back to the default. I would rather not disable the opensub agent, because sometimes its useful, but this is driving me crazy. Is there any way to tell Plex or the agent to only download subtitles if they aren’t any already included?
