I have a problem with Plex and the opensubtitles agent.
For example :
I have a movie in English with no subtitles.
My opensubtitles Agent is set to download English and French subtitles.
When Plex is scanning my library, it found the movie, match correctly and download only English Subtitles but not French Sub. I check on OpenSubtitles and the french Sub are also avaiable.
It does the same thing with almost all movies. Sometimes it downloads in both languages (really rare) or sometimes only french or English.
I already tried to disable opensubtitles, reinstalling PlexMediaServer, change the order of the languages, etc.
Why Plex doesn’t download the subtitles even if it is avaible on opensubtitles.org ?

Just because you can find subtitles for “your movies” doesn’t mean they are correct ones.
The agent is using bit more complicated methods to find out if there are subs for they file you have.

Thank you for your advice. I did install Sub-Zero and configured it. The Plugin downloaded a lot of subtitles. But I still have a few Movies and TV Shows where Sub-zero is unable to Download the subs (eventhough the Movie is perfectly matched). What name does the plugin check to match the movie with the subtitles ?

You can check in logs for more details or ask directly plugin developer in the topic I’ve linked you.
The first few days I was using SubZero I was hitting Open Subtitles download limit, maybe that’s your case as well. Have you checked if there are subtitles available but they not downloading?
