5 days ago, I finished downloading a large quantity of media to watch on my laptop over the next month abroad. I tested the downloads and everything appeared to be working normally. I have used this laptop for this exact purpose in the past.
Upon opening the Plex app on my laptop, it demanded an update, which I installed, but I am now greeted by a very unhelpful error when I click on downloads,
There was an unexpected error

It still shows the number of episodes and size of downloaded content, but will not permit me to access anything I have downloaded. I have rebooted, restarted the app, installed another update when prompted.
