I have around 50 GB of films and tv shows on my server running on my computer. I’m new to this so I don’t know if this is a thing or something that people always ask so apologies in advance but could I download the shows off of Plex onto my PS4 so my server wouldn’t have to be live every time i want to watch something.
Also I have no clue how the forums work so I hope I’ve put it in the right section.

Plex is based on a client/server model – so you’ll have to have some kind of Plex Media Server up and running in order to play it on your PS4. There’s no “offline mode” or option to sync media to the PS4.
Plex does support a “sync” mechanism but only for its mobile clients (e.g. Plex for Android, iOS…).
Would you agree that this is a useful feature to have on the PS4? Even if they said you needed to pay for premium I would probably do it. Surely if you can have an offline feature on a mobile device it can be much harder to integrate that into the consoles.
