Downloading media issues

I have been having 2 issues.
I am trying to download media from a friends server onto my windows pc. I am constantly getting errors on the downloads, however I have gotten it to work a couple times so I am not sure what that means

error “encountered network error while grabbing media”

on one of the recent completed attempts, the file spiderman: into the spiderverse completed but the file is 166gb large when it is supposed to be 40gb, but the file plays fine on vlc, so this is bizarre and taking up a lot of space.

are there any settings I can change on windows pc to get less downloading errors?

What is the deal with this spiderman file?

You can’t download without a Plex Pass.

the server I am downloading from has plex pass and I have already completed some successful downloads
