So I’ve just started using the PlexAmp app and organising my music in Plex, but I seem to have come across a pretty use-case-breaking bug and I don’t understand why it’s happening.
I created a playlist with over 100 songs which I then saved for offline use on my phone, I noticed that the music seems to stop playing after a short amount of time and at first didn’t realise that the downloaded version of that playlist only had 18 songs in it.
After much playing around I discovered that adding certain songs to a playlist would cause plexamp to only download 18 to 20 songs from that playlist.
I’m not too sure what the cause of this is as this has occurred with several songs that I have gotten from several different sources, not sure if it’s something in the meta data or the actual song file.
I have attached a copy of my logs from the plexamp app if anyone is able to shed some light on what might be causing this.
Plexamp will download up to approx. 24 hours of music.
I suppose you had already downloaded some other albums/artists/playlists or downloaded from Plex “radio stations” / custom mixes?
Nope, this is a clean install with nothing else downloaded, I have plenty of space on my phone, I’ve created a new playlist with 55 songs, it downloads the 55 songs fine, but as soon at I add certain songs to the playlist, it cuts off at 18-20 songs and won’t download the full playlist.
Not at all, these are just normal average song lengths between 3-5minutes each, this is not a song length issue, there’s something else going on here, when I had only 20 songs it didn’t even last my drive from work to home.
There’s something about particular songs that is breaking the download feature
Just had a look at the logs, there is something a bit weird in there:
Jul 08, 2020 22:02:45.586 [Javascript] INFO - Sync: Error downloading, failed to stat path `/data/user/0/tv.plex.labs.plexamp/files/Offline/0dbbfa6a02092e4f98d633520e94be6260c68c85db89c8eeebb4e1834646925a/1bbf00079853070ccb7097e1e404f148c04cbfa564a18fb5792a7ad4dca0f622` because it does not exist or it is not a folder
But the last log you sent has what looks like a working sync so I’m a bit confused, and the error shouldn’t lead to stuff not continuing to download.
