“Chooose an Image” - “Drag and Drop” and “Enter a URL” are the 3 ways offered to change a movie poster image. Ever since I first installed PMS 2 years ago the “Drag and Drop” option link has never worked. It’s not highlighted nor does anything happen when I hover my cursor over it. The only way I’ve been able to change a poster image is manually select an image off my hardrive using the “Choose an Image” option. It takes a bit longer that way, so it would be nice if i could just Drag & Drop it. Do I need to have a Premium membership in order to use the Drag & Drop feature?
Make sure you have no web browser extension activated which manipulates web pages like AdBlock, NoScript, privoxy etc pp.
And the ‘Drag and Drop’ area does nothing if you just move your mouse over it. You already have to have grabbed an image with your mouse before moving over the area.
You might also try a different web browser, to see if it behaves differently.
Thanks for all your suggestions OttoKerner but no luck. I’ve tried right clicking and copying a .jpg image off my desktop with my mouse but still nothing happens when I hover over Drag & Drop. (unless I need to use a differeent capture process). BTW, the Drag and Drop option link is “white” and inactive, while the Choose an Image and Enter a URL options are both yellow and active. I’ve always use Chrome but I tried IE like you said and still nothing. I even disabled all my browser extensions, still nothing. I’m at a loss. Guess I’ll just keep transfering the images from my hard drive.
Are you perhaps loading the web app from an own domain name or from the local IP of your Plex server?
If so, try to use the hosted web app at https://plex.tv/web

I googled around until I found a poster that wasn’t in the list provided - there’s one:
Right clicked, saved as, atkm1.jpg to my ‘Pictures’ folder.
Go back to Plexweb, click the Pencil, click Poster, position Windows Explorer to the left of Plexweb so you can see your Pictures folder and Plexweb - drag atkm1.jpg to the drag and drop area in Plexweb and drop it:
The instant I drop it I can see it flip in behind the edit window and the image I just dropped shows up in the list, already selected:

Absolutely perfect Juice. Guess I was expecting the Drag and Drop link to to do something when I placed my cursor over it.
