Having a problem with the latest beta. When using streamed content i can not select external .srt sutitle files. When i use the stable version (2.0.3) it works fine. Only way to get subtitles with the beta is to use transcoding.

Getting a GS when i start playing content. Box have been rebootet after install.

Still getting GS with this one. Does it after 5 secs of playback.
i dont get the point. there must be a big difference in openpli with subtitle handling. everything is working great on my boxes.
didn't want to but seems to me like i have to flash openpli to a testbox.

great plugin!! ive added it to my vu-duo, solo2, cloudibox2 and dm800 and it worked out of the box. my problem is with a new ibox2+se it does not support multi key press to type letters, so i cannot enter my server settings. is there any way to copy a server config from another box?

Hello,
I have a question regarding Subtitles handling on the VU+ Solo2. when I'm playing in direct local, I still have to activate the subtitles by pressing twice on the yellow button and then Ok.
it also requires that the subtitles are in the format showname.srt. I have automatic Subtitles downloading via filebot in France and English and saves the files under the following names showname.eng.srt and showname.fra.srt
With the double extension eng.srt or fra.srt, no subtitles are found, but if I manually rename in .srt, it is working.
I precise that .eng.srt and.fra.srt are working fine on the standard Plex apps !
Another qustion, what is the difference between FHD and HD skin ? how can I switch ?

there is a special option in the newest beta41 that does exactly what you need. if you have direct local it renames automatically your srt files and makes a copy so that it can be displayed. just enable in settings :-)
in the newest beta41 there is no need to switch HD and FHD manually anymore. regarding the box skin the dreamplex skin is switch automatically.
subtitles can be turned on also automatically in beta41. just press txt-button an enable the language you prefer. after that dreamplex searches the movie until the subtitle stream appears and activates it.

HowTo Direct Local Mapping Helper:
just navigate to a startable movie, tv show or song. before you start the media just press "3" to switch to funtion level three. there is a new blue button function which starts the mapping helper.
what he does it quite easy. he looks if file itself is found on your box within in directory or its subdirectories within /mnt/net. if we find the file there there is some voodoo magic behind the scenes and the mapping is configured automatically. :-)
this step can be repeated as often you need it due to the fact that there might be more than one share. there is also a duplicate mapping function to avoid them. hope this helps in the future :-)

That is great !
Can you help how to setup the target Subtitle option ? It has only 2 letters ? What is the exact meaning, my subtitles have .fra or .eng.srt
How to setup ? Or is there a manual somewhere on the net ?

in server settings you have to enable direct local as playback mode and configure the mappings. you can use the helper from the latest beta 43.
when you enalbe direct local as playback there appears also the option of renaming subititles. if you enable this there appears another option that asks for the language name. thats it :-)
This is all ok I have direct local and the mapping working . The language name was the point, does it change something if I have the extension in .eng and the language is en ?
I try to update to beta 43 , doesn’t t install ? It is the first time so, directly says to restart enigma 2
