Droid app recently stopped working

I am currently running the plex plugin on a FreeNAS server. Everything has been running great until last night when all my firetv’s and droid phones show little orange triangles with exclamation marks in them. If I try to play one of the movies, I get a screen saying “There was an error navigating to the specified item. Please make sure you are connected to the internet and try again”. I confirmed, the firetv’s can get to the internet. If I try to play the same movie using the WebGUI, it works just fine.
Also, If i add a new show\movie to plex, the firetv will “see” that new show\movie in its list, but still not be able to play it. Nothing on my end has changed in the last few days so not sure what is causing this. I tried uninstall\reinstall the plex app using the latest one off the app store. I have also tried clearing cache. I even upgrade FreeNAS to TrueNAS 12.0 U5.1, the problem remains.
Anyone have any ideas?

Your Plex Server software version is still at 1.18.3
You need to find a way to update that to a current Plex server version.

Unfortunately I cannot tell you how, I have never used Free/TrueNAS.

ahh thank you! I found this guide online and was able to get it updated to
1.24.4.5081, all devices work correctly again

not sure why the “update” button in Truenas didnt put it on the latest version but the guide above updated it
