I have a plex server installed as a plugin on freenas NAS with versions as:
Plex version: 1.7.3.3937
Freenas version : FreeNAS-11.0-RELEASE
Samsung TV Plex app: 2.007
Samsung TV HUB version: 5.3281
samsung TV MODEL: UN55F6300
I haven’t tried with all the movies but some movies doesnt play on my TV (plex app) anymore but they play fine on laptop through plex app. I checked the path for the file it looks correct. on Tv it give the error message as " the requested stream could not be found "
This has started happening after I had to rebuild my whole server again when my one of the plugin HDD crashed and since while I was rebuilding it I upgraded it from Freenas 10 to Freenas 11.0. so I am not sure what happened in between these version. I definitely didnt change my TV app on samsung TV. also keep in mind this plex server is through plex plugin and the plugin availablity on freenas repo comes very late so I have updated plex server to latest version ( at that time) by forcing the file to update that using PMS updater shell script. so even though my plex server is showing me version as above , my freenas thinks its at version : 1.5.5.3634 plexmediaserver-1.5.5.3634-amd64 . and I doubt this is causing issue since I have use this method before.
I have the dmesg enabled on my freenas so when it doesnt play the movie it prints message as:
" pid (Plex Transcoder), uid xyz : exited on signal 4.
I am not sure how to get the detailed log on freenas so if some one tell me how to I can copy paste details log also.
any kind of help on this topic is appreciated.
Hi, there i a bug with Samsung app 2.007 and PMS 1.7.X, this is the same problem forums.plex.tv/discussion/266805/plex-media-server-version-1-5-3-3580-trailers-problem#latest so i am not sure if you referring to this problem or not
it doesn’t looks like the same problem. but I do have trailers enabled. I’ll try disabling trailers and check again.
