Apple TV 4 latest tvOS 12
Hi,
I installed the latest alpha plex version for Synology ARMv8, The installation was successfully and I’m able to see all the movies in my library from my Apple TV but when I’m trying to play one of my movies it won’t start (no errors or even an attempt to start the movie), from iPhone or web browser it works fine.
Any idea why?
Yes, A known issue with the version of PMS I am using and the AppleTV 4K version.
I’m trying to get the updated build for it done now (when not diverted for other issues). The root cause of the failure is bad timing on my part. I grabbed PMS at “less than ideal” time. ATV 4K is the one thing I didn’t think of because I have a different version of the tvOS app on my 4K.

Is it otherwise Ok playing to everything else ?
From iPhone it seems to play fine, same goes for my laptop from browser.
It just won’t play from my Apple TV.
Yep… that’s what is seen.
The technical detail are that tvOS makes it play request differently than iOS (odd but it does) and PMS had trouble with that. It’s fixed now mainstream but not what I have here. It was AFAIK isolated to 1.13.3
Problem identified (in detail). Gave it to Engineering.
It’s unique to the ARMv8
