So funny question I have a DS412+ and atteched threw a network to my mac mini 2014 intel i5. I use it as a plex server and play movie threw the house on Apple TVs. I thought about upgrading my NAS to a DS918+ and making my old nas the back up for the DS918+ and backup for my other Mac computers. My question is if this makes any sense is will the DS918+ work better as a plex server with the movies stored on it then the DS412+ threw the Mac mini. It seams like some times movies get hung up ( I do you CAD 6 cables everywhere). want to play 1080 movies and 4K in the future. Any options whould be great thanks
