Hello i am considering either buying a DS218j or DS218+ for my nas as well as plex needs. I also have an old mac mini that is slowing down and i was thinking maybe i should just convert it to my plex server. Since the mac mini and transcode and serve plex better than a nas, do i really need a DS28+ and wouldnt a DS218J which is half the price suffice ? Any advise. My nas needs are just time machine backup, redundancy and internal cloud features. i dont plan to run 300 simultaneous users in a house of 1 person.
