DS920+ not hardware transcoding

Server Version#: 1.24.0.4930
Player Version#: 4.65.0

Update: this has now been fixed. My mistake by not realising I needed to provide docker with access to the igpu (Plex on Docker on Synology: enabling Hardware Transcoding | by Nick | Medium)

Apologies as I am new to Synology/Docker but I recently purchased a DS920+ and have installed Plex via docker (Docker Hub) and I’ve only just noticed that when videos transcode it puts the CPU to ~97% and there is no “hw” indicator.

I followed this guide to setup Plex - https://www.wundertech.net/use-docker-to-set-up-plex-on-a-synology-nas

I have unticked - Enable HDR tone mapping
I have unticked - Disable video stream transcoding
I have ticked - Use hardware acceleration when available
I have ticked - Use hardware-accelerated video encoding

I direct play most things locally but would like hardware transcoding to work for remote watching and it’s one of the reasons I purchased the Plex Pass.

Any help would be great.

Ty!

Can you verify the docker even has access to the iGPU? With all that abstraction there’s a lot that can happen…

Thanks for the reply. Could you advise how I can do that?

I have found this guide which will try now - Plex on Docker on Synology: enabling Hardware Transcoding | by Nick | Medium

Sorry I didn’t realise this was required.
