For what it’s worth, I downloaded a dsf file sample and it seems to be recognized and analyzed okay in our current internal builds:

HI Thanks for your Replay. Witch Logfile you need from me. The Problem I think is the Tagging. In witch Logfile you see the creation of the Files

That’s an interesting log…

First, it might help if you optimize your PMS database on the server. That may help with the Held transaction for too long warnings.

Second, you may want to enable debug tracing at least to get a better sense of what’s going on in that log.

Last, can you be a bit more precise about what exact problem you’re seeing? What does your Plex XML look like for the dsf tracks?

First i optimize the Database a lot of time. The Problem is the first Scan for new Files. It will not more recognize the DSF Files. I have now 350 SACD ISO Files manualy correctet ;-(. At Final on the XML File the Music Format is correct but I have no Tagging Infos. No Artist no Genre Type. I have allways [unknown Artist]. I will generate for you an Debug tracing Log at the Weekend.

3 or 4 Monts bevor the tagging has working fine.

What version did it work on?

And when it doesn’t work, it recognizes the files but doesn’t extract tags from the files, right?

Can you maybe share some files that I can use to reproduce the problem?

I dont now witch version it was. I tried to find out. But the Synology DSM Version has changed and it was not more able to install an older working version.

I send you the Scanner Log. You need only to seach for [Unknown Artist] / [Unknown Album].

I say her in October 15 that the File recocgnition is working. And it works a view monts.

And when it doesn’t work, it recognizes the files but doesn’t extract tags from the files, right? Yes exactly

I am a litle sad. The failur allways persiste ;-(.
Nothing has changed about the DSF File recognizion with the newest Plex Media Server 0.9.17.2 Release.
