Hi everyone.
I love the Rasplex running on the Raspberry Pi Official DSI touch screen. It works a treat. I would love to be able to use the Pi and touchscreen mounted on the wall in each of my rooms to act as a media player. The key to this is to have the Pi running Rasplex to also be connect to the TV in the same room over HDMI to display a movie. In effect, the touch screen is the wall mounted control and the TV is the display.
I know that you can do this with a mobile running the app, but this is about playing anything without having to carry a mobile around, or for guests who may not have the app installed.
Over at the Raspberry Pi forums, Jamesh is beta testing a dual screen release with multiple frame buffer support and with some testers is making great progress. This would enable an awesome multiroom media player setup for Rasplex.
If Rasplax/Plex could investigate running with this as a new feature, I would be most grateful and it would position Rasplex as a super cheap head to head option against some very expensive multiroom systems in the market place.
