Duplicate genre tags created when adding videos

Player Version#: Version 1.25.0.5220

All videos are in MP4 format and tagged using Meta Z. I can replicate this over and over with any video that I add to my library.

I noticed this after upgrading to the last build whatever genre I added to the video it would create a duplicate one. There are no spaces or any other characters in the Genre name.

I have also tried manually editing the file and remove the Tag, save it the tag will still appear.

It is a mind bender, so if anyone knows what’s going on, please help. :wink:

There is a bug in the current beta (1.25.0) causing this.

There will be an update before it goes public which will fix this.

I have observe the same for Actors. Not only Genre. If a new movie is added with an actor which was already in a movie, that will create a brand new actor.

Yes, it affects all tags.
