I recently noticed I have duplicate genre on all my genres, so basically all shows twice.
I use “Prefer embedded tags” and “Genres to embedded tags”
I’m not sure when this started it hasen’t been like all the time, I just with this version deleted the library and scanned again still duplicate music genres.
I believe this issue is if you multiple genre tags like “Pop; Rock; etc.” vs a single tag “Pop” it will get split so you have 2 “Pop” genre’s in Plex.
This will be fixed in a future update, it’s due to a regression where we no longer trim whitespace from the ends of local genres.
E.g. “Rock” is not the same as " Rock".
You could also work-around the issue by ensuring delimited genres don’t contain spaces, e.g. Rock;Pop;Alternative and not Rock; Pop; Alternative
Thanks for confirming, I will have to wait for the fix because Plex is not the only software I use for music.
Oh I’m glad I’m not the only one and that a fix is coming (hopefully soon).
