Plex isn't separating multiple genres

My collection has been tagged with Picard/Musicbrainz and I often include multiple genres for albums, all separated with a forward slash. While Kodi is able to parse this appropriately, I’m finding that the Plex scraper is grouping everything into a single giant genre tag. Is there a way to instruct Plex to treat the slash as a delineator?

I’m starting to think I’m not going to get this solved. As of version 1.31.1.6782 my music genre metadata is still functionally useless.
