I inadvertently created a duplicate Plex Server in error which has no content in it and does not connect.
Is there a way of removing it?
Go here https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/pms
and remove the older server tokens.
It is very important to not remove your current server!
To make distiction a little easier, go can (beforehand) go to
Settings - Server - General
and assign your current server a different ‘Friendly Name’.
