Duplicates finder - sort duplicated movies (+matchind mode)

Ahoy,
Is in Plex function to show me what movies I have duplicated (different files names, but matched)?
Now I am using external software to finds duplicates, but even TornadoDuplicateCleaner what identify movies via frames / thumbnails CAN’T find all duplicates (but very most) - or can you tell me better app?

There is any matching mode for movies that plex can’t automatically detect?

  • now I sorted movies by not-matched and manually every files need to be clicked-matched… If you have more files named in foreign language (before Plex) this is exhausting.

So, lets see some friday night horror movie  :innocent:

You can filter your library by Duplicates

Edit: seems the post isn’t picking up my screenshot… here’s the related support article

Usually matching should work rather straight forward if you somewhat stick to the official naming schema… in particular for movies. You can insert a tag in the file/folder names to help Plex identifying an item (e.g. The Shawshank Redemption (1994) {tmdb-278} or The Shawshank Redemption (1994) {imdb-tt0111161}).

Similarly you can enter those terms in the title field when you manually fix-match an item inside Plex (e.g. tmdb-278 or imdb-tt0111161).

It shouldn’t really matter if your files are using a local title of a movie… IIRC Plex will also search for original titles and the title in the language you’ve set for your library.

Thanks a lot, I didn’t saw this before
Manual fix-matching would be great when the “creator” will be improved, for example - bigger window that show full long file name and make process more automatically (without need to click-by-click every single file, but shows not-matched movies in a row and just selecting proper match)

Again, thanks a lot, Your solution is very helpful :+1: :love_you_gesture:
