DV Dolby Vision playback not working (green/purple) on MBP MacBook Pro M1 14" 2021

Hello,

Despite my MBP supporting DV (Play HDR video on Mac – Apple Support (UK)), Plex for Mac is failing to play it back correctly. I’ve tried a couple of shows/movies with DV, all of which playback with the green and purple hue.

The media is located on my Server with Plex Media Server, Plex for Mac is set with transcoding off and direct play only. Standard HDR10 content has always played back without any issue.

Is this a bug or is DV simply not supported?

I believe that DV which does not include HDR10 fallback data is not supported due to licensing restrictions.
