DVB Subtitles crash Android Mobile and Google TV app

Player Version#: 9.23.0

In the most recent versions of the Android apps, when I try to play movies or TV shows recorded and enable the subtitles (they are all recorded as *.TS files with DVB subtitles) the apps crash instantly. This has started happening recently.

I’ve checked the file formats play fine using other players such as VLC for Android and also VLC for Google TV.

Does anyone have a workaround / fix or is this a known bug?
