Hi, i’ve been using a piece of software call DVDFab DVD Ripper for converting my DVD’s and just wanted to see what others out there are using. I’m not sure if what i am using is a good quality ripper or not. I would appreciate any feedback.
I use makemkv.
DVDFab will do just fine. MakeMKV is good but will not compress the DVD/Blu-ray.

That’s where Handbrake comes in. But MakeMKV is the best tool I’ve found for getting the initial file off the blu-ray disc.
Very true but if the OP likes and has no issues with DVDFab then I say it’s all good. An all-in-one ripper/encoder… If he likes the output of the finish files then it’s as good as anything else…
MakeMKV + Handbrake!
I use DVDFab for DVDs and MakeMKV for blurays.
I use WinX DVD Ripper Platinum. It handles everything I need and is very fast.
I’ve had good results with WinX DVD Ripper Platinum also. Works well and is quite quick.
Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate, MDRP, and Handbrake on OSX.
So just to be a little different, AnyDVD HD + Handbrake
Definitely MakeMKV and Handbrake. I used to use AnyDVD, but it’s prohibitively expensive, in my mind. I refuse to pay any subscription-based payments for software like that, and the fact that you can only use it on a single computer is also annoying. If I pay for a license for software, I want it to work on any computer in my house, and I don’t want it to “end” because I haven’t kept paying.
DVDfab is my favorite, MakeMKV is a close second when needing to revert old ISOs. Haven’t used either in quite some time.
Without question, MakeMKV and Handbrake. Both free, available in Mac and Windows. Professional video Converters are good but I believe not required unless converting High end Audio Titles.
