DVDFab ripping - some files direct Stream others don't

Hello Every body.

So I have run into a couple of times where some files will direct stream where others don’t.
I’d prefer to direct stream everything if I can have it my way.

So currently I found a series that is a good way to show the problem.

Season 1 - Want’s to transcode everything.

This is an episode in the season that transcodes on the web app on Windows 10(64bit)

Season 2 - Direct playing all, no transcode

This is an episode in Season 2 that doesn’t transcode on the web app windows 10 (64bit)

Both episode have been ripped on DVDfab’s Blu’ray ripping program. The only difference that I ever saw when setting up. Was that the episodes in Season 1 is a single chapter where the episodes in Season 2 is devided up into 5 chapters.

Is there anyone here able to see something that i’m not?

Did you have subtitles enabled when playing the episodes?

VOBSUB subtitles force a video transcode when using Plex Web.

FYI, Plex Desktop is a much more capable client than Plex Web. It direct plays most video/audio/subtitle formats. Consider using it instead of Plex Web.
