DVR - Doesn't refresh guide data

Server Version#: Version 1.21.3.4046
Player Version#: Web
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO
Guide/Lineup name: All of them.
Using XMLTV?: Don’t know.
Channel number/Name: All of them.

I was having trouble with my guide data not refreshing so I deleted my DVR and re added it and it won’t load any guide data. I hit refresh guide data and it’s at 0 percent for a couple of seconds and finishes. It shouldn’t be that quick and it doesn’t do anything. Lost at what to do?

My Live TV & DVR still has listings and my recording are still there. I can still click the record button. But what I cannot do anymor is look into the details of any tv show or movie. It seems the metadata is not accessible. The screen shows the little “in progress” circle, but nothin appears. This is not the first time I’m having this issue. Other strange behaviours:

  • Dashboard not being populated
  • Checking for Updates button disabled (stuck in checking mode?)
    Was at least able to do the “Refresh Guide”. But did not solve anything.
    In my library, I see my shows/movies. I see the metadata in the grid mode. I can start the edit and see the metadata. But when I simply click on the tile of a show/movie, to go to the detailed view, this is when it’s not working. I guess I’ll do an optimize and clean database. We’ll see if this resolve the issue!

GOOD NEWS: I don’t know what exactly did the trick but here is what I did and now everything is working as it should:

  1. Did the Optimize and Clean database actions
  2. Completely shutdown the PLEX server
  3. Launch PLEX Player and it did an auto-update on me (to version 1.28.0.1681)
  4. Noticed that my PLEX Server was not up and running
  5. Started the Plex Server.

All good now.

Well, that was short lived. Now back to the same problem! :unamused:

Funny. Shutdown the plex server, then launche the player only. Noticed my server is disconnected (of course), but was easily able to see detailed view. Then launched the server, was able to briefly see the detailed view for a few seconds, then soon it was back to the same problem.
There is definitely something wrong with the PLEX server.

So I forced an install of a previous version of my Plex PLAYER (Plex-1.27.1.1571-2fface66-x86_64) and now it seems to work fine. I can access the detailed info in my library. I do NOT recommend to upgrade your PLEX PLAYER to the latest version at this time.

Same problem. What is Plex saying about this issue?
