DVR failed to record show, how does one find out what happened?

I have the bachelorette (I know, I know, it’s for my wife) setup to record as a series. Last time I checked the recording schedule on Sunday, it showed it was going to record last night.

This morning - no recording occurred. And information about what happened is presumably in the black hole that is the plex logs. Is there not an easy way to determine what occurred from within the GUI for the DVR?

I was excited to try out the DVR, now that Plex enable the Xbox One Hauppauge tunner, but if it can’t record and then provide a straightforward explanation for why it failed, I’ll probably wait another 6 months and hope the program matures into a more stable product that can be depended upon.

Plex won’t be able to offer any suggestions without log files. Go into Settings/Server/Help/Download Logs and post the zip file in the thread.

Thanks, I’ll post my logs for review. My frustration was kind of high this morning, and I apologize for coming off cranky. My bigger point was why can’t we get some kind of recording history via the GUI, vs having to troll through the logs and ask support why things fail all the time.

Log correlation, analytics and end user reporting are not sexy features that bring in new customers, but they are the kind of additions that can keep your current customers from moving to competitors.
