once DVR is out of beta or before will it support m3u playlists like emby does? I don’t want to leave the plex arena but like tv with dvr support via a m3u list is becoming a big thing for me
An m3u is just a playlist. PMS as a whole does not support using m3u files. Not sure how this is used with DVR.
emby reads the m3u playing with lots of links to iptv channels and when I add a xml tv guide I can select what programs to record. it works like the current dvr on plex but instead of getting the channels from the hdhomerun it gets them from the m3u playlist

Plex DVR is not currently designed for that so this would be something totally different. You basically want Plex to be able to save an online video and add it locally to your Plex library? I don’t know if that will fly.
